Privacy Policy
Last Updated Date: September 8th, 2026.
This Privacy Policy explains how Sharply Technologies Inc. (“Sharply”, “we”, “us”) handles personal information when you visit worksharply.com (the “Site”), contact us, apply for mentorship, or become a customer. Sharply is an AI and software product studio based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. We also offer mentorship for business professionals and engineers.
Information we collect
When you contact us or apply for mentorship, we collect the information you submit, such as your name, contact details, company or professional information, message, preferences, and any file you choose to upload.
The Site and its service providers also process limited technical information needed to deliver and secure the Site, such as your IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, and request times. If you accept optional cookies, we also collect general information about visits and interactions to understand how the Site is used.
Please do not include government identification numbers, financial credentials, health information, or other sensitive information that is not needed for your enquiry or application.
How we use information
We use personal information to:
- respond to enquiries and assess potential studio engagements;
- review mentorship applications and arrange requested services;
- communicate with you and maintain appropriate business records;
- operate, secure, and improve the Site; and
- meet legal, accounting, and regulatory obligations.
We collect, use, and disclose personal information with your consent or as otherwise permitted or required by applicable law. Sharply does not sell personal information. We do not use information submitted through Site forms to train our own machine learning models.
When we share information
We share personal information only as reasonably necessary with service providers that support functions such as website hosting, file storage, business records, communications, security, analytics, and payment processing. We may also share information with professional advisors, in connection with a business transaction, or where required by law.
The Site does not collect or process payment card information. After a client engages Sharply, payment may be made by direct bank transfer or through a payment link hosted by a third-party payment processor. Banks and payment processors handle payment information under their own terms and privacy policies. Sharply receives the information needed to identify and record the transaction, such as the payer, amount, date, status, and reference number, but does not receive or store full payment card details.
Some providers process information outside Canada, including in the United States. Information in another country may be accessible to authorities under local law. We remain responsible for personal information transferred to providers for processing and use contractual or other appropriate measures to protect it.
Retention and security
We keep personal information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above or to meet legal obligations. Enquiries and applications that do not lead to an engagement are normally deleted or anonymized within 24 months of the last substantive contact. Client, payment, tax, and accounting records may be kept for longer periods required by law.
We use safeguards appropriate to the information, including encrypted connections, access controls, private file storage, input validation, and anti-abuse measures. No transmission or storage method is completely secure. We will provide legally required notices if a security breach creates a real risk of significant harm.
Cookies
The Site uses essential technologies needed for security, forms, and basic operation. With your permission, it also uses optional analytics cookies to understand Site usage. Optional analytics does not load unless you select Accept in the cookie notice.
You can select Reject non-essential and use the Site without optional analytics. You can review or change your choice at any time through Cookie Settings in the footer. Your browser also lets you remove stored cookies and local-storage choices.
Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask to access or correct your personal information, learn how it has been used or disclosed, withdraw consent, or request deletion of information we no longer need. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
